Draupadi, if I was not the one
when your protection slipped off you
I too would have succumbed
shamefully capitulated
It was only the pleading in your eyes
that saved me
and though I asked you to stop protecting yourself
at that moment your hands let go
I cheated
and used my powers
as an avatar
to keep you inviolate
but this I confess, admit and constantly now try to forget
for an instant the worlds stopped
with the beat of my heart
for never was there seen such a soul in such a figure
before by me
and even She who knows me through and through wondered
if I would be lost
forever to this glimpse of what should never.

schmachvoll kapituliert
Es war nur das Flehen in deinen Augen

und obwohl ich dich bat, du mögest aufhör'n, dich zu beschützen
in jenem Augenlick als deine Hände sich lösten
betrog ich 
und gebrauchte meine Künste
als Avatar
auf das du unberührt bliebst
doch dies bekenn' ich, geb's zu und versuch ständig jetzt, es zu vergessen 
einen Augenblick lang hielten die Welten an
mit meinem Herzschlag
denn nie ward' solche Seele in solcher Gestalt geseh'n
vor mir
und selbst Sie die mich durch und durch kennt fragte sich
ob ich verloren sein würd' 
für immer an diesen Anblick von etwas das sollte, nie.
